Recognizing how much ground wicked politicians in Washington have gained in the last decade, I dreaded the day when nothing could stop them from pushing their evil agenda and sealing our country’s fate in apostasy. I knew the day was coming when the ship wheel of our country would be handed over to a political party hell-bent on rebelling against God but I didn’t know when it would happen. That is until now. That day is January 20th, 2021.
The bad news is America is on a collision course with God’s judgment. One of the indications that judgment is coming were the number of false prophets that arose in 2020. When God is on the verge on bringing His judgment, false prophets arise in large numbers to give a false message of prosperity and security. Consider 1 Kings 22 when Ahab and Jehoshaphat inquired of prophets about taking back Ramoth Gilead from Syria. Approximately 400 of Ahab’s prophets all prophesied victory but one man by the name of Micaiah prophesied defeat. Can you guess who was correct? It wasn’t the 400 men but Micaiah whose prophecy came true. In Jeremiah 28:1-17, a false prophet by the name of Hananiah had prophesied God was going to deliver Judah out of the hands of Babylon but God’s true intent was to keep Judah in Babylonian captivity much longer. In 2020, there was a significant rise in prophetic releases. The vast majority of these prophetic words all said the same thing: “President Trump would win a second term which will usher in a revival.” When President Trump lost the election, many prophesied the outcome would be reversed with intercession. Several even prophesied during this time, “this is the greatest hour for the church.” Clearly this wasn’t the case.
“If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.” Deuteronomy 18:22 NLT
Another indication America is headed for judgment is America has only become more evil since 9/11. America is no longer a nation who has forsaken God but a nation who is at war with God. Since the passing of Roe V. Wade in 1973, over 65 million babies in the U.S. have been slaughtered on the altars of fornication and sexual immorality (another form of Baal and Molech worship). On January 22nd, 2019, One World Trade Center in NYC was lit up in pink in celebration of the state passing a bill legalizing post-birth abortions; the same site where God had brought judgment on America eighteen years before!
Not only is rebellion against God evident in our government but it is also evident in our churches. The western church is more compromised and lukewarm than it ever has been. It is not uncommon anymore for a celebrity pastor to be caught up in a scandal. Many ministers today no longer preach repentance and holiness but preach a watered down gospel. I often think of Abraham interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah when I ask God, “Lord, show me ten televangelists who still preach repentance and holiness” but I cannot find a single one. The reason is because the majority of ministers today care more about making money than they do about the souls that still have the hounds of hell nipping at their heels.
The glory of the Lord has long departed many American churches and the sad thing is very few realize God has left these churches ages ago. The American church is nothing more than a dying institution; a mausoleum. I have wept many times over the condition of the church and recently I cried out to God saying, “I’m sick of going to dead churches where the worship is dead, the preaching is dead and the people are dead. Why won’t You intervene and breathe life back into our leadership, Lord?” God’s reply was short but the weight of what He spoke made me shutter and weep even more – BECAUSE I DON’T NEED THEM.
I needed not ask God anything else because I knew it was time. God was about to increase the shakings; not only on the country but on the western church; a western church that has become comfortable with the status quo; a western church who has forgotten her God and placed her faith in the White House. The nation of America might have been saved in 2016 from a Hillary Clinton presidency but at the cost of losing the church to complacency and comfort. Now the western church faces the real threat of losing the country and the things she loves. It becomes painfully obvious what the American church loves most when a spotlight is shone upon it – the American church is more concerned about saving the nation and protecting what the church has built than saving the souls in the nation. Our priorities are all upside down! Assistant General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Rick DuBose, said it well when he said,
“God is a whole lot more concerned with saving the souls in America than saving the nation of America.” – Rick DuBose
Revival is certainly coming to America but not the way many had hoped or predicted. It’ll come after God has shaken the nations (Haggai 2:7). The American church and the nation are about to be thoroughly shaken. The American church is going to face opposition and financial strain like it never has before. The church will lose the nation to godlessness but the good news is the church will be saved. When God is done shaking our nation, only the remnant church will be left standing and it will be at this time when genuine revival finally comes to our nation. When the church is saved, THEN the souls of the nation can be saved. Exciting time are certainly ahead but we must lose America to save the church.
